18 year old Angel Gomes has been a standout player across various Manchester United youth teams, and coupled with solid pre season performances, it seems he has proven himself enough to be featured more in the 2019/20 season!
Here are some of his best skills and incredible goals from 2018/19, and a few from 2017/18, though his professional career has been so short that there wasn't much point in differentiating.
What do you think about Angel Gomes? Do you think United should promote someone at such a young age to the first team? Is he confident enough to carry his form into the Premier League? Will his physicality be a problem in making the switch?
His performance in the U-21s EFL Trophy Final t'other day was just scintillating. Only time will tell what he can do at senior level but it's clear that he has far surpassed the junior levels and must be given first team opportunities. What we don't want is a repetition of the young Pogba scenario.
players who are small who had good careers in football. scholes, evra, xavi, iniesta, insigne, verratti, modric, sneijder, mata, lahm, silva, di natale, tevez, pirlo and this is just a few of the top players playing or who have played at the elite level.
Angel gomes and mason greenwood and tahith chong have all proven on tour they can skin the life out of the best defences eg inter Milan and Tottenham and all 9 goals on tour have either been scored or assisted by an academy player….these guys are easily capable of playing in premier league and despatching most sides….I'd take top 6 finish this year if it means these guys play every week then year after they'll improve and probably get into top four then 3 yrs down the line there's no doubt they will tear the league apart with all the ageing squads apart from Tottenham
Very technical, has an accurate shot and beats players you think he shouldn't. He is ready to play in the hole behind the striker right now, but putting on more muscle wouldn't hurt.
Watch the actual highlights of all the possession he had against Spurs. Way too many mistakes, wayward passes and seems too slow for the premier league. He scored a nice goal but not enough to make the first team yet.
always knew Angel was something special, remember wathcing some vids where he was 13 and spraying the ball around the pitch like Pogba. The only concerns were about hi height which now I think noone will doubt is not a problem at all , could be advantage in fact and one of the reasons why it is not a problem is that he finally added grit to his game and aggression which will make him a world class palyer. Easily our Bernardo Silva but with a skillset more close to Messi/Iniesta
btw that interplay between him and buffong eis one of my favourite academy goals ever
Guys long story short we have a crop of youngsters who are ready to cause havoc. class of 92 ring any bells. Now who is to say that these kids take their chance & blend in abit of class experience then anything is possible… ? ???

He's a little messi this fellow
The black Messi!
ive only watched him against milan. this guy got crazy agility and pretty good at dribbling too. in terms of young talents, he probably the best.
Would have been a better video if that shit music wasn't playing in the background.
Kid need to play praying he gets his chance this season would hate to lose him
1:13 is enough evidence to tell me he is ready for the pressure that Premier League players give to opponents. That was pure filth
This kid is a star. Maybe he'll be Utd's Messi….
If Ole doesn't start this kid after he literally put Mata to shame in today's game against Milan…then idk what to say…may b Ole is inept as a manager
Quickness personified. Worth more to our club than any big baller holding our majestic club to ransom. Boys fire ☆
Gile lu mess.. ??

How come nobody talked about free kick taking?
why is Fred still a red, this kid is worth the entrance fee, some twat paid 50 million for a player with no confidence and no nous ,
Man United have their own Messi in Disguise but they are not seeing because they are United
That's why Barca want him
it will be good for his development if he started a game from the bench from time to time so that he can get the experience of the league
