Inter Milan finally appeared in the final to face Bayern Munich after getting rid of defending champions Barcelona.
The long wait for Inter Milan has ended. Inter advanced to the Champions League final for the first time since 38 years ago after getting rid of Barcelona. In the second semi-final at the Nou Camp Stadium, Inter were forced to give up 1-0 by Barca through Gerard Pique’s only goal.
However, Inter continued to qualify for the final because they were winning 3-2 on aggregate. Because the first match at the Giuseppe Meazza, Inter won 3-1.
