If we are going to buy someone let them be champions in that position, top quality starters and leaders. Why are we spending any money on players that can easily be brought in from the youth academy at not that much of a different level.
Lots of mights to hate on Pogba, but if you were Pogba at United would you fancy staying with a club that has no intention to challenge for anything, with players that would not get into the Leicester City side, beside you; Pogba wanted to be here, at United, but he believed the lies, told by Woodward, as many fans did, that United can still get the best players and will get the best players and Woodward brings in Fred and Dalot and then in this window a decent left winger and right back, but no world class quality players, as Ole was promising. So of course staying at this club is not very attractive, people are saying all the time that United are struggling to bring players in because of their plight, so why would that be the same for keeping their best players?
We need to understand Pogba from a career perspective. He needs to win trophies. He needs to be at the top. And as hard it is to say, United don't have what it takes to offer him that. We are far away from the top. If we were in the champions league I believe he could have considered staying. But we're are just a big mess

Bakayoko is bang average, Longstaff is totally unproven, Lemina is inconsistent, talented but not really more than decent bar the odd game………….Partey, Ascacibar, Sangare, there are loads of midfielders better than the ones we seem to be getting linked with. ALready lost out on expensive ones in NDOmbele and Rodri, a very good one in Barella. I agree with Howson in that we need quality added to our side, not depth, we actually have a deep squad of mediocrity. Bissaka is a great signing, we need another FOUR at least of that ilk to progress

Longstaff (25m), Melinkovic Savic (60m) and Bruno (60m) are correct profile of player. Players with potential to be the best in the league at what they do.
Lemina is not the profile of player for UTD. Young hungry players that could become best in their position in the world is what we need. We have good older players, Matic, Fred, Pogba already. Unless these guys leave we shouldn't be looking at anyone average older player.
