As the saying goes a game of two halves, it was more a game of four quarters. It was a very a fragmented game without much fluidity. The intensity in the game came and went, both sides weren’t amazing defensively but there was a lack of creativity between both sides. The game was very open and stretched in patches but neither team was able to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and control it. A draw was probably a fair result, neither team deserved to win but neither team really deserved to lose. A score of 2-2 to the non watcher suggests a much more entertaining game than it was, lacked the usual fervour of a regular season game.

We cannot have Matic and Mata on the pitch at the same time. By default they shouldn't play but if they must it's one at a time and it has to be against teams that don't press so much.

Seeni says:

Milan pressed better than United did. Milan's discipline (maintaining their shape and formation) was much better than United's. For the first goal, (apart from Matic's inability to turn with the ball coming onto his left foot) there were mistakes by 1. Andreas Pereira was jogging back even after seeing an unmarked attacker just few yards in front of him and 2. De Gea passing to Matic flanked on both sides by Milan's forward men. There was absolutely no leadership shown by anyone in the first half. I think Solskjaer, Phelan or Carrick should give instructions during the game. Only players that saved United's face were Rashford, Tuanzebe, and to some extent Aaron, Angel, Greenwood and Daniel. We need to improve a looooott!!! Solskjaer must impose himself more, even during the games. He seems very passive.
