The is a chance James Maddison could join Manchester United whether they are rubbish or not especially if the reports are true that he is a life long Manchester United fan, so it would be a dream for him to join the club. If he is desperate and it is not just about money, then he will go especially if he or his agent knows there is no guarantee that Manchester United are going to go try sign him in the summer instead. All the clubs know Manchester United are desperate for players, and they are going to have to pay a lot of money for the players they want based on the situation they are in right now unless they have a good scouting team that can find gem players, and make them better like Liverpool has done.
